The Romagna is Sangiovese Country. Some suspect - and not in Tuscany - the origin of the large Central Italian grape variety. In the Valmarecchia, the home of the Tenuta Saiano, it has been planted in a floor for centuries, the mixture of which gives tension and structure on the way.
The grapes of May Ugual, the masterpiece of the Tenuta Saiano, come from the highest vineyards of the winery. As a result, they later tire and generally have a tick more extract and acid than those from lower parcels. The entire, undressed berries are spontaneously read by hand and fermented in large oak barrels for over 18 months.
The result is beautiful: balanced and multi -layered, with flavors that beat a sheet of cherries and citrus fruits to a violet and undergrowth and which are worn by a cool and elegant body without a dangle.
