There is no shortage of animals in the world of wine. Many of them roam the vineyards, some - mostly small ones - animate the soil, while others have their homes in vineyard stone walls.
We don't know any winegrowers without a dog, but many also have horses, cats, sheep or goats at home. In Italy, there are also grape varieties that owe their names to birds: Corvina (from corvo - the raven), the number one grape variety in Valpolicella, is perhaps the best known, but Corvinone and Rondinella (rondine - the swallow) are also among them. So it's no wonder that animals of all kinds can be found on the labels of many winegrowers. We have combined some of these into a package that include wines from the far north of Italy to the far south.
